  • Set on top of the hills in the suburbs of Muvattupuzha, this single storied house is a spacious and comfortable dwelling overlooking a serene valley.
A single storied house with multiple courtyards and green pockets, it is set respecting the natural contours of the site and establishes a solid connection between the outdoors and the indoors.
    #spacestostories is a series presented by Greenlam ( / @greenlamindustries ) in association with #Buildofy
Play of light and shadow displayed when natural light strikes the screens and louvers adds to the aesthetic quality while skylights above the common areas flood the interior spaces with natural light during daytime.
To download the full PDF eBook of Contour House in Ernakulam with floor plans, materials used, construction techniques and so much more, please visit: www.buildofy.c...
Gable roofs, open planning, use of materials to bind spaces and inspiration from Islamic motifs are some key highlights of the project.
The Principal Architect walks through the house and explains how he worked out an open plan, segregating spaces based on levels while keeping in mind the lifestyle and needs of the client.

Great looking entry & living/family rooms but the dining area was very understated...
Loved the landscaping and the views from inside the house

Masha Allah, such a piece of Art. I am actually intrigued to know, how much does this whole thing costed including the furniture, leaving apart the cost of land??

Excellent architecture. Following contours is amazing concept and unique.
looks like rainy water fall into the swimming pool, may not be a good idea.
because of the uniqueness of the land, you would have explained something about foundation. Very good presentation.

I love the house - it feels very peaceful - I also like the way the outside was brought inside again giving it a natural healing peaceful feeling - the outside views are beautiful. I love the creativity of this house design, the house does not feel intrusive. When I become a billionare I would love to have a house with this feel to it. The small joke is I am 69 years old, but my present small home has a similar feel to it, along with at present I have weather temp at -22C.

@@Amor_fati.Memento_Mori no I am not but from Wisconsin US. A lot of times in winter for a week or so the weather is colder than the North Pole. We live in an area where multiple weather systems collide, Dec, Jan and Feb in my area are the coldest of the year. We get HOT weather from June, July, August , then swetter time starts.

Superb Combination of different elements giving an aesthetic appeal overall . I am really impressed with the CNC design used for partition & elevation panels . Need to understand what is the base material used for the CNC design & thickness & supporting frame work.
Also what is the material used for living hall ceilings, whether natural wood profile or PVC profiles .

Beautiful house.. however it will need lot of servants to maintain it.. keeping that all the glass clean will be heck of effort. No doubt it’s a great design and perfect combination of living in contemporary and in lush green place. Lastly if you have money to employ army of servants to keep it in pristine condition then why not..
